Part Seven: Subjects and Settings for Plots When writing plots for children, a common subject is one where the main character is involved in a search of some kind. What he or she is searching for must be seen to be important, both to that character and to the reader.
Plot-your-own stories Here are entered works of fiction in which the reader chooses from a number of possible options for developing the story. See also what's at Wikipedia, your library, or elsewhere.
Some of these are master plots, and some of them are ideas for plot points within a story. I’ve included a few love stories, ideas for YA dystopian novels, and ideas for thrillers. If you write a short story, screenplay, or even a novel based on a plot idea from this list, it’s not cheating.
